By Greg Soukup Sunny, warm and humid was the weather that greeted a large crowd as they celebrated Christmas in July under at Eagle Raceway Saturday. Several divisions of the Armed Forces were in attendance to assist in collecting donations for the Toys for Tots campaign. The preliminary events went with no major occurrences. The NAPA IMCA Sport Modifieds were the first Main Event on the evening, and Cory Hutchison was the first back to the flag stand in his 96C. Close behind were Don Rinke’s 2R, the3T of Nate Thompson and Kevin Anderson in the 22K. Anderson vaulted past both Thompson and Rinke on lap 2 to take the 2nd spot.
