By Greg Soukup Dirty Divas Night, presented by the Lincoln Saltdogs and Coors Light brought beautiful warm weather and the usual fantastic racing action to the high banks of America’s Home Track. The first lap leader of the NAPA IMCA Sport Modified A Feature was Joey Feyen in the 25X with Gary Saathoff’s 96, the 67D of Jason Trent and Joe Schidler in the K00 rounding out the top 4. Bob Ruisinger moved the #7 into fourth on lap 3. Ruisinger moved up to third 3 laps later as Scott Bivens put the S56 into fourth. Shawn Harker’s #40 overtook Bivens the next time around. Mick came to Eagle Raceway every Saturday night  to help out his Daughter and Son in Law (Michelle and Roger Hadan) up until towards the end of the 2013 racing season. Most of you that have been in the pits for years, knew him as the old man that sat and watched the Pit gate who would wear a stocking cap and a winter coat in 80 degree weather, would sometimes fall asleep on the job, but did whatever it took to keep the Pit area safe. He loved coming to Eagle, and he enjoyed his job, he also thought of a lot of you as good friends of his. We will miss having Mick at the track.   Nelson, Milton...

By Greg Soukup Sweet Dirt Dash at Eagle Raceway, presented by Sam’s Club, was held Saturday evening with great weather and a very good crowd in attendance. Three and even four wide racing in the heats promised even better racing in the features. There were no major incidents in the preliminary contests. During intermission the youngsters in the crowd were invited onto the front stretch to participate in a Candy Dash that was sure to provide sugar highs galore. By Greg Soukup Tracy Hines set the fast time for the Amsoil USAC National Sprint Cars with a 13.642 as the Rumble in the Bullring was run at Eagle Raceway Friday evening. 19 of the non-winged 410 cubic inch cars showed up to put on their annual contest on the high banks of America’s Home Track. Rocky Klabunde’s 28 had a soft, slow roll-over into turn 1 during the Nebraska 360 sprint car’s first heat and Jason Martin flipped the 5X in turn 1 during their second heat. By Greg Soukup A good sized crowd braved strong winds to watch some great racing Saturday night at Eagle Raceway as Mud In America and the Nebraska Lottery presented “In the beginning…there was dirt”. Three-wide racing into the features kept all of those in attendance riveted throughout the evening. There were no major incidents in the preliminary events.
