by Greg Soukup Possibly the best weather of the year greeted the fans who came out to Eagle Raceway for the festivities Saturday night as Junior Fan Club & Scout Night was held. Although 3 3/4 inches of rain had fallen over the previous 2 days, the track prep crew got the surface ready for racing, and there was plenty of that over the course of the evening. Before the regular racing program could kick off, the features for the rained-out August 6th card were run. By Greg Soukup Unfortunately, Back Pack Night presented by Colby Ridge was rained out just as the NAPA IMCA Sport Modified B Feature was lining up. Threatening weather had been seen approaching “America’s Home Track” Eagle Raceway throughout the evening, and just after the young fans had been treated to rides in actual race cars on the high banks the skies opened up and called a halt to racing for the evening.  We got all heat races in for the evening, so there will not be any rain checks issued.  This is our policy which is posted at the front ticket booth and on our website.
