By Greg Soukup The huge crowd that showed up for Rockin’ In the USA Night, presented by Sam’s Club Saturday were there for just one reason; to find out who would come out on top of the season’s points championship in all 5 classes. The track was extremely tacky, thanks to nearly 3 inches of rain Thursday and Friday and a consistent mist throughout Saturday morning. That meant three wide racing all over the high banks of America’s Home...

Posted 01 Jun 2014 in Eagle Nationals, Headlines

By Greg Soukup A beautiful night for racing saw a very large crowd turn out to see the Eagle Nationals at America’s Home Track Saturday night. The Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour came to the high banks to battle against the local 360 drivers and there was excitement from start to finish. Tyler Drueke’s #12 went for a wild ride in turns 1 & 2 as the buzz laps for the first ASCS heat were being run. Stu Snyder went up and over with his 17B climbing the turn 3 wall in heat 3. They righted his mount and he pushed off to finish the heat. The final incident in the preliminary events saw Brandon Hanks’ racing night come...

Armed forces Night Story

By Greg Soukup Although the temperatures were cool, Armed Forces Night presented by Kaplan University and Miller Lite saw a very good crowd show up to watch the racing action on the high banks of Eagle Raceway Saturday night. Heat #3 in the Valentino’s IMCA Hobby Stocks saw Nick Beckman’s #22 do a nose-stand into turn 3 after the car behind him got into the rear of his racer and raise it enough to plant the front bumper. Although he was uninjured, his racer was damaged too badly to continue. The NAPA IMCA Sport Modified A Feature stopped almost before it started when Adam Vrbka’s 7V hit an implement tire on the first lap, causing the right front tire...
