The deadline has been extended for the 2015 Miss Eagle Raceway Applications to be turned in. The deadline is now April 25th 2015 at 11:59PM. The Miss Eagle Raceway Contest will be much more special because we will get to have the girl’s faces out at the track, and get to know them all season long. By Greg Soukup After falling to the weather Saturday night, the final night of the Precise Racing Products RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Super Nationals powered by NMC Cat Rental Store & Venom was completed Monday afternoon before a good-sized crowd. All of the preliminary events were run without serious incident. The first A Feature was for the Kaplan University Modifieds. The initial attempt at a start was called back when the 14J of Jeff Jones and Mike Densberger’s 81 came to a halt in turn 1. There was no precipitation in sight, and the racers put on a show to keep the fans thrilled to be there. There were no serious incidents in the preliminary action. By Greg Soukup Mother Nature failed twice to stop Night #1 of the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Super Nationals, presented by Precise Racing, Venom Energy and NMC Cat Rental Store Friday evening at Eagle Raceway. After dumping over 5 inches of rain on the track in the days before, she allowed the first heat to be run. She made a last-ditch effort before the second heat could be run, raining for about 20 minutes. As they had that morning and afternoon, Eagle’s track prep crew and the push trucks took to the high banks accompanied by Roger Hadan in the water truck and began saving the racing surface. The history of the division long ago known as the IMCA big cars continues this weekend at Eagle Raceway, with the second annual Sprint Car Super Nationals. The first IMCA events were held at county and state fairgrounds tracks in 1915. Under the hood horsepower steadily replaced horse racing at venues across the country and many IMCA Sprint Car hotshoes became household names before World War II intervened. Racing resumed in 1946 and so did the popularity of IMCA and its drivers. Open House Practice Night  -Thur. Aug 28th, 2014 is Cancelled! Sprint Pre-Tech opens at 10AM and will be open until 8pm. Everything will be a go for tomorrow Friday, Aug. 29th with regular start times. Anyone camping tonight…there will be a Sloppy Joe Meal available at the concession stand for purchase. Note: In the event of rain Friday-Saturday no refunds or rain checks will be issued and program will be completed the next day as per the schedule below.
