70-degree weather helped to erase the memory of having the planned season opener last weekend from the minds of the fans and racers Saturday night when they arrived at Eagle Raceway for Junior Fan Club Sweet Spree presented by Colby Ridge.

WOW! What more could you ask for? Night 2 of the 2019 Icebreaker Challenge presented by Auto Trans Matic saw near summer-like temperatures in the 80’s warming Eagle Raceway, over 130 cars in the pits and a fantastic night of competition that saw 3-wide racing all the way into the features!

With temperatures in the 60’s Friday there was no actual ice around Eagle Raceway, but night #1 of this year’s Icebreaker Challenge blew the lid off the 2019 racing season. With over 100 cars in the pits and every driver itching to get their first taste of running the high banks of America’s Home Track this year, the fans were treated to a fantastic night of racing.

Jeff Ware 2019 lead-in interview

I know we were all disappointed when the weather forced the cancellation of the 2019 running of The Rumble In The Bullring, so we all need to keep a good thought out for the Icebreaker Challenge which will be run the 19th and 20th of April.
