1st Annual Miss Nebraska Cup Contest
Eagle Raceway is sending out a casting call to all ladies for the very first annual Miss Nebraska Cup Queen contest.
As a Miss Nebraska Cup contestant you will represent yourself as well as Eagle Raceway, Butler County Motorplex, and the Nebraska Cup Race at many different racing venues across a 2 state region. Twelve (12) women will be selected as contestants from the applications submitted, with the final competition being at the Nebraska Cup Race at Eagle Raceway on Sept 12, 2009. This is a well known race which attracts hundreds of racecar teams and thousands of fans to Eagle Raceway yearly. The Nebraska Cup race is being run in conjunction with the Special Tribute to 9/11 race at Butler County Motorplex in Rising City, Nebraska on Friday September 11, 2009. Miss Nebraska Cup will be crowned during the intermission at the Sept 12th Nebraska Cup race, and will act as the Trophy Queen for the evening’s events. The winner will be awarded $500. The 12 finalists will all be professionally photographed and will have their pictures in a calendar that will be published for 2010.
Contest rules:
- Must be 19 years of age or older to enter and be a permanent resident of Nebraska.
- Must be willing to partake in at least 2 pre-race events to promote the Butler County race on September 11th and the Nebraska Cup Race on September 12th. These will include car shows, autograph sessions, weekly races at Eagle Raceway, and a special “Driver’s Breakfast” the morning of the race.
- Miss Nebraska Cup will be voted on in 2 ways, the first being votes by the Drivers participating in the 2 day event and the second being the applause of the audience in attendance at the Nebraska Cup Race on Sept 12th.
- Participation at Butler County Raceway in Rising City, Nebraska and the Nebraska Cup race are mandatory; as well as the “Drivers Breakfast” on the morning of September 12th. Transportation will be available if needed.
- The 12 finalists will wear the ‘outfit of choice’ as selected by the Nebraska Cup Race Committee. This outfit will consist of a white tank top with the phrase “Ask me about the Cup” on the front and “Sept 12, 2009” on the back, and a pair of black flip flops. These 2 items will be provided to the 12 finalists; however it will be each finalist’s responsibility to pair up the shirt with a pair of APPROPRIATE blue denim shorts. This is the outfit that each finalists will wear while representing the Nebraska Cup.
Entries will be accepted until August 30, 2009.
